Behind the scenes

Menu KitStep 1 of 7

Menu KitThe table number comes firstThe QR code on each table card opens the pub's ordering page with that table already set; the short address does the same once the number is typed in. It travels with the order from here on.
Menu KitOne menu, kept as dataSections, dishes, prices, dietary tags and allergens are maintained once in Menu Kit and published here, and the same data prints the paper menu. This is the Kettlewick menu: a second pub could share the dishes at its own prices.
Menu KitOptions and allergens on the dishEach item carries its options (required or optional, with any price difference) and its allergens, so what the customer chooses and what they're told comes from the same record.
Shop KitA basket for the tableMenu Kit orders run through the shop engine, so this is a Shop Kit basket: each line with its options and kitchen notes, and the table number held against it.
CoreThe customer on the recordNo account to make. The name and email create a person in the core, or match one already there, and this order sits on their timeline with any earlier ones.
Shop KitPaid through StripeOn the live site this hands over to Stripe Checkout. Its webhook marks the order paid and stores the payment record with it.
Shop KitMoved on through the pub's own statusesThe order arrives with its reference and table number. Received, In the kitchen, On its way and Delivered are statuses the pub set up, and staff move each order through them. The confirmation email is the customer's receipt.
